2015 Award Winners in the Health Care Climate Challenge
Global Green and Healthy Hospitals is pleased to announce the winners in the 1st annual Climate Champion Awards of the Health Care Climate Challenge (formerly known as the 2020 Health Care Climate Challenge). Officially announced and presented (to those in attendance), at the Conference on Climate Change and Health Care in Paris, France on December 4th, these awards recognize the hospitals, health systems, and health organizations at the forefront of the movement towards low-carbon health care.
The awards are structured around the 3 pillars that form the Climate Challenge:
- Mitigation – Reducing health care’s own carbon footprint.
- Resilience – Preparing for the impacts of extreme weather and the shifting burden of disease.
- Leadership – Educating staff and the public while promoting policies to protect public health from climate change.
