GGHH member In Australia, the Australian Nursing and Midwifery Association (Victoria Branch) organized and held the 2016 Health and Environmental Sustainability Conference, on April 29. The Conference, which has taken place annually since 2013, aims to explore the health impacts of climate change and the growing stress that health practice places on the environment. Additionally the event is a platform to show case the innovative sustainability initiatives driven by nurses and midwives.

The conference also provides a networking forum for nurses and midwives, and other health professionals to connect & share environmental sustainability ideas and resources.

Over 500 nurses, midwives and other health professionals attended the event to hear from leaders in the fields of health and environmental sustainability.
