Brazil | Workshop on Greenhouse Gas Emissions Inventories for Healthcare Institutions
Projeto Hospitais Saudáveis, GGHH member and HCWH’s strategic partner in Brazil, held an exciting new workshop on Greenhouse Gas Emissions Inventories for the health sector on August 11th at the Centro de Vigilância Sanitária (Health Surveillance Center), in São Paulo, Brazil. The event was organized in partnership with GGHH and Centro de Vigilância Sanitária (Health Surveillance Center).
The objective of the workshop was to educate attendees on methods and tools, such as the Brazilian GHG Protocol Program Tool, for them to use to calculate and understand the greenhouse gas emissions related to their facilities. In addition, PHS staff provided attendees with information on the 2020 Health Care Climate Challenge and invitations for all to join this global initiative.
The event had 40 attendees, including GGHH members from Brazil already participating in the 2020 Challenge such as Hospital Albert Einstein, Hospital das Clínicas da FMB and Hospital Sírio Libanês.
