Representatives of ten hospitals came together with a group of issue experts in June to launch a national initiative to reduce the environmental footprint of health care in South Korea. The Korea Green Hospitals Society will serve as the national representative for Global Green and Healthy Hospitals. “Our health care system should be the role model and lead in areas such as energy, chemicals and green building,” said Dr. Dong Chun Shin, administrative director of Yonsei University Health System.

Bringing Green and Healthy Health Care to Bhutan
Officials from the Royal Government of Bhutan’s Ministry of Health recently visited three Philippine hospitals, all members of the Global Green and Healthy Hospitals (GGHH) network, to learn about and discuss sustainability in the hospital/health care sector as well as the best practices and experiences to green these institutions in the Philippines.
