The Second Latin American Global Green and Healthy Hospitals conference took place on September 21st and 22nd of 2015 in Bogota, Colombia.

The conference, organized by the Health Secretary of Bogota, along with Health Care Without Harm Latin America (Salud sin Daño) and the Pan-American Health Organization, provided an in person opportunity for the exchange of knowledge and experiences amongst GGHH members and the wider community on  work being done around the region to promote sustainability and environmental health in the health sector.

The main focus areas of the conference included: energy efficiency, saving and rational use of water, chemical safety and environmental health, integrated management of medical waste, hospital infrastructure and landscaping, and hospital environmental management.
