Green Health Challenges – Awards
The Green Health Awards celebrate and recognize the accomplishments of GGHH members around the globe who are taking real action to reduce the environmental footprint of their health care facilities. From small, rural clinics to large, urban health systems, each and every member can have positive impacts on the environmental and public health of their community and be a leader to inspire others to do the same.
Awards will be available in all of the Green Health Challenges– Energy, Waste, and the 2020 Health Care Climate Challenge (click here for information the 2020 Challenge Awards).
In the Energy and Waste Challenges, members will earn awards as they achieve the targets in each level. Members are able to receive multiple awards if they hit the targets in multiple goal areas within each Challenge.
To become eligible for the Green Health Awards, members need to:
- Officially register for each Challenge in which they choose to participate.
- Enter data for their baseline year and an additional year to document progress achieved.
The Green Health Awards will be based on the individual progress of each participating member. This allows for flexibility for members to set their desired baseline year, receive recognition for their previous accomplishments, and work at their own pace.
GGHH will announce the first winners in the Green Health Awards in the last quarter of 2018.
