GGHH members from Nepal participated in a half day training on the Hippocrates Data Center on the 18th July 2017. GGHH member in Nepal and HCWH’s strategic partner in the country, Health Care Foundation Nepal (HECAF), organized the event.

The main objective of the training was to promote the Hippocrates Data Center and the benefits it provides members for tracking the progress of their sustainability projects. Staff from eight GGHH member hospitals participated in the event, including: Kathmandu Medical College, National Kidney Center, Paropakar Maternity and Women’s Hospital, Bir Hospital, Kathmandu Model Hospital, Grande City Hospital, Kirtipur Hospital and Tilganga Institute of Ophthalmology.

Ruth Stringer, Science and Policy Coordinator at Health Care Without Harm, presented Hippocrates and its various features that allow members to track waste production, analyze the impact of their energy efficiency efforts, understand greenhouse gas emissions from their facilities, and report on progress to facility leadership. After the presentation sessions, the participants practiced using the platform.
