Health Care Without Harm – Latin America released the first edition of a new report, “Hospitals that heal the planet.” Summarizing the experiences and activities of GGHH members implementing the 10 GGHH Agenda Goals, the report highlights the successful sustainability projects and programs from around the region. The accomplishments and dedication of GGHH members demonstrates the commitment of the health sector in Latin America to reduce its environmental footprint.
Over 20 hospitals and health systems from across Europe and beyond, many of them GGHH members, gathered at a roundtable meeting in Bonn, Germany during COP23 in November of 2017. The focus of the event and discussions was on strategies and opportunities for climate change mitigation, adaptation, and leadership opportunities by the health sector. The European Healthcare Climate Council, Health Care Without Harm Europe, and BUND Berlin partnered together to convene the two-day, high-level meeting, which LVR Klinik and Bonn University Hospitals hosted.
