On 27th November, GGHH Founding Members, the National Institute of Pediatrics, the Mexican Network of Pediatric Hospitals, together with HCWH partner organization the Center for Analysis and Action on Toxics and Alternatives organized the first Global Green and Healthy Hospitals Meeting in the country. Representatives from more than 12 different national hospitals along with the Mexico City Ministry of Health participated in this event.

In the Philippine College of Physicians-Southern Luzon (PCP-SL) chapter Medical Ecology Summit, HCWH-SEA presented the 10 goals of the Global Green and Healthy Hospitals (GGHH). “As a medical professional, we are involved in all the 10 agenda or we can choose to be involved in it,” said Dr. Carolyn Montano, PCP-SL President. “If we are to take an active role in improving practices of at least five of those agenda in all the hospital that we work with, we are doing ourselves a huge favor of healing our patients while preventing occurrence of more diseases.” continue reading
Brazil | Hospitals and Health Systems Launch GGHH
Sao Paulo – Seventeen leading hospitals, together with four major health systems representing eighty-two more, joined forces to launch Global Green and Healthy Hospitals in Brazil this past week. The launch ceremony took place at the 5th Annual Brazilian Healthy Hospitals conference organized by HCWH partner organization Projeto Hospitais Saudaveis.
Brazilian hospitals receive Global Green and Healthy Hospitals founding membership certificates together with the NHS Sustainable Development Unit, two English Hospitals and the Healthier Hospitals Initiative from the U.S.
