The Global Green and Healthy Hospitals (GGHH) is a project of Health Care Without Harm (HCWH). GGHH has among its objectives the promotion of safe and sustainable practices in the healthcare sector and seeks to create a global community of health care providers that share knowledge and best practices, including through its website www.greenhospitals.net and through GGHH Connect.
The content posted in the publicly browsable part of the GGHH website are distributable, adaptable or can be used to create derivative works, provided that credit is given for the original author.
There is also a communications platform for members named GGHH Connect, the privacy of which is addressed below.
We are genuinely concerned about privacy and we do everything in our power to ensure it.

Open Access Area
The publicly browseable areas of this site are open to all visitors to read, search, browse, and download at no cost.
GGHH’s open data policy is intended to promote the sharing of ideas and information with the broadest possible audience, in order to further its mission.
Secure Data Area
GGHH Connect is a secure data area. To access it you will need to be a member of GGHH and to log on with your unique user id. In order to become a GGHH member you will be asked to provide certain information such as your contact details, institutional information (location, size, website, contact information, etc.) and background related to the GGHH goals you are committing to work on. GGHH is able to correlate a user id with the member contact information which we store in an offline database.
In GGHH Connect you will enter information related to your participation with GGHH’s Agenda. This information will be kept private and confidential for the GGHH’s review only. For more information on the type of information requested on the members’ only section of the GGHH, please refer to our FAQ. This information is stored offline to ensure it is secure.
There is other information within GGHH Connect that is intended to be shared with other GGHH members. Members will be asked for their permission prior to sharing information.
In GGHH Connect, members will also find tools and resources to support them in achieving the GGHH Agenda Goals. Some of these tools are for members only and will be clearly marked as such. GGHH appreciates members compliance with the permissions given for the use of tools and resources available to them.
Information You Provide
Like many websites, this site collects information from its visitors actively by asking specific questions and by permitting you to communicate directly with us via e-mail.
Some of the information you submit may include personal information (that is, information that can be uniquely attributed to you such as your full name and e-mail address). You will be informed what information is required and what information is optional.
The basic descriptive information about your facility is information that we intend to use in our communications regarding our membership on our website and in our private communications. When you visit the site, you can choose to sign up for GGHH’s newsletter and other information. Once you have signed up to receive information you can change your mind and opt out of receiving communications from GGHH at any time by sending an email to firstname.lastname@example.org with the message unsubscribe in the subject line or by using the options in the footer of the email you received.
We will not sell or pass on your data to third parties.
