Scott Slotterback comes to this role after working for over a decade for Kaiser Permanente, one of the largest non-profit health care systems in the United States.

SSlotterbackWorking for the National Facilities Services group, he led teams focused on improving the design and sustainability of over 60 major healthcare buildings.

He developed and implemented sustainability strategies for the Facilities Planning group and led the transition of Kaiser Permanente’s National Sourcing Agreement program to become an innovation and market transformation based purchasing system, promoting the use of sustainable materials.

He served on the national Environmental Stewardship Workgroup, which established goals and implementation strategies for operational and facilities focused sustainability efforts.

He also created and implemented enterprise-wide sustainability training programs. With over thirty years of experience, he authored numerous sustainability focused case studies, design standards, white papers, and articles.

He presented sustainability approaches and successes at numerous national conferences and served on the National Steering Committee that wrote the Green Guide for Healthcare, which became the basis for LEED for Healthcare
