GGHH Founding Member, the UK’s National Health Service – Sustainable Development Unit, has recently launched their Sustainable Development Strategy for the Health, Public Health and Social Care System 2014-2020.

The strategy describes the opportunities to reduce environmental impacts and aims to improve natural environment, readiness for changing times and climates and strengthen social cohesion nationally. It also includes a vision for a sustainable health and care system by reducing carbon emissions, protecting natural resources, preparing communities for extreme weather events and promoting healthy lifestyles and environments.
